Lexi Thompson leads LPGA tournament

American golfer Lexi Thompson leads in the LPGA Tour's Thailand tournament, finishing the third round with a 4-stroke lead at 16-under par.

Thompson could be the first American to win the event in its 10-year history. A win tomorrow would mark her seventh career win on the LPGA Tour. With this win, she would also overtake Stacy Lewis as the top-ranked American in the world.

Thompson turned professional in 2010 at the age of only 15.

The Honda LPGA Thailand 2016 tournament is taking place at Siam Country Club, Pattaya.
